Behind The Last Door: An Inside Look at Bartok's Bluebeard's Castle.

I'm once again the National Opera Week featured speaker for OperaBuffs of WNY's Inside Opera Lecture 2015-16 Series ~ join me for this Halloween morning 'backstage peek' at the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra's 2014 production of Bluebeard's Castle (Dark Secrets: Bluebeard & Chihuly), on the famous Dale Chihuly set! We'll look at Bartok's masterpiece in general starting with the Medieval legend, through the work's composition and premiere, and then I'll bring you behind the scenes of the Chihuly production as Wife 2 ~ The Queen of Noon. Live selections performed in Hungarian with accompanist Roland E. 'Ron' Martin and Baritone Michael Manganiello.

Free and open to the general public ~ Spoooooky reception to follow
